Excuses and Matthew 5:16

Unfortunately I have been neglecting my blog this last week, but I do have an excuse.  In case you weren't aware, I have started at University this year and although I am only doing one paper, going in 5 times a week certainly takes a lot of time out of one's schedule!  The result: I am probably not going to have a lot of time to post and therefore posts will most likely not come as regularly as they could this year.

In case you're curious as to what I am studying, I am taking a Chinese Language paper.  I'm doing it as a STAR student, which is when Secondary-School students can complete a University paper in addition to their school studies. If they go on to get a Degree/Diploma/Certificate then it gets credited towards that.
One wonderful thing about homeschooling is that I have the flexibility to undertake a much bigger course than most students could squeeze in around their school!  (Language papers are 3 times as large as most single other subjects).

So... there you have it.  My excuse for any long delays between posts, of which there will hopefully be a rather small total.

Anyhow, enough about excuses.  I have decided it's high time for another bible verse so here it is.
Matthew 5:16: "In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven."
Something I noticed is that this verse says nothing about doing good deeds to earn salvation but instead implies that we should do good deeds because we have been saved.  This is a great verse to keep tucked away in the back of our minds to remind us to be on the look out for 'good deeds' that will turn others towards our wonderful Father and Creator in heaven.

"In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven." -Matthew 5:16

    1. I'm sorry Bonnie but I don't think I'll do this tag, owing to many different reasons, one of which is that I prefer to stay out of tags like this. This isn't my 'policy' but I think too much of this sort of thing will change the purpose of my blog. Thanks for thinking of me though. :-)
