Firstly, Dad is back home (and completely normal now, praise God!) after a frightening experience earlier in the month. He had spent the day in vigorous work and when he came home mum noticed that he was slurring his speech and seemed confused so suspecting a stroke, called an ambulance. However, thanks to the prayers of so many people he had no damage showing on his CT scan. Here is what my mum posted on facebook (via Abbie's account!!) several days after he went in, which is about a week ago now:
"After the prayer request went out and people prayed, he suddenly vomited and then seemed totally normal, which has the doctors puzzled. They don't know what to make of the fact that he was so bad and is now completely normal. He was allowed out of hospital yesterday afternoon but they made him go back first thing in the morning. He was allowed home again this afternoon but has to go back tomorrow morning again. He is not allowed to drive until he has the MRI done. We are hopeful that this will happen tomorrow and then he will be able to stay out of hospital and life will go back to normal. Thank you again for all the prayer, it was definitely answered and we are so grateful."
Secondly, Jana is now 12 days old and doing really well. She is such a cute wee baby and is a delight. She sleeps well during the day but unfortunately not so well during the night so is keeping her parents awake and busy! (And Grandma too- our grandparents came down after her birth to assist Mum and Dad which has been such a blessing. We have loved having them here again! They will be leaving again tomorrow and will be missed from our household very much).
With our grandparents here, we took the opportunity to take family photos! Normally such a chance doesn't come often. Here are some of the photos:
